Job Description

Overview

The Construction Systems Trainer is responsible for training, supporting and upgrading BuildPro and potentially other systems that Support Operations.  This includes providing tier-two support, assisting with and coordinating the efforts of team members, third-party consultants and end-users in order to deliver requested services and issue resolution. Travel in this position will be 5% or less annually.



Responsibilities

  • Monitor Service Request tickets assigned and respond effectively to requests received based on priority.
  • Support tier-two support, the ROC & BuildPro teams with support requests as needed to determine, training, issue resolution and support ticket management and closure promptly.
  • Work with end users to gain clear understanding of issues raised or enhancements requested and how they fit in with business processes’ and procedures.
  • Responsible for performing standard troubleshooting steps including fully documenting steps that gave rise to the issue with screen shots and re-creation of issues in test environment when possible.
  • Serve as liaison between National Director of Construction Systems, Tier 3 support & Lennar’s stakeholders when troubleshooting complicated/pervasive issues or requests.
  • Proactively track and analyze incoming software issues to identify problem trends and known error conditions and develop technical and training solutions to minimize reoccurrences and severity until a permanent solution is implemented. – Workarounds!
  • Perform assigned testing, documentation and necessary training of all new existing and enhanced functionality.
  • Stay current with system information, changes and updates.
  • Perform regularly scheduled training virtually as assigned.
  • Perform all other duties assigned.

Specific Job duties as assigned, such as, but not limited to:

  • Developing, Training and Implementing Teams “Build Pro Virtual Assistance”.
  • Build Pro and Supply Pro quiz development and administration.
  • Hot tip of the weeks – emails & videos.
  • Training Meeting Attendee Administration – track attendees for training events.
  • Maintain National Construction Website – meaningful and useful information for the division Construction teams nationwide.
  • Training video creation / Documentation and user guides as needed.


Qualifications

  • Three (3) – four (4) years of systems operations experience, preferable in BuildPro.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience working with construction scheduling software.
  • A general knowledge of JD Edwards or similar system is preferred.
  • A general knowledge of SalesForce or similar system is preferred.
  • A “can do” attitude is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and listening skills needed to understand and articulate technical issues while working with end users at various levels of our organization.
  • Excellent written, presentation and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Self-directed & diligent; acts and follows up promptly as directed by the National Director of Construction Systems.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills required to evaluate system issues and business requirements; and respond with technical solutions.
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintain composure and professionalism in a dynamic environment.
  • Must be flexible and readily adapt to changing priorities/tasks; Diligent and acts properly.
  • Responsive and curious, willing to research issues and take on new challenges.
  • Maintains a supportive and collaborative team-work environment; encourages teamwork in others.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the Business System Analyst to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
