Overview

The Director of Tech Transformation will manage the overall Lennar Technology Services’ transformation journey and initiatives across the organization.  This individual will run a team that works across functions and departments to drive operational excellence through Agile practices and beyond.  A strong background in technology and program governance, Agile methodology, transformation efforts, and a keen ability to problem solve is essential.  An ideal candidate must have a proven background in Agile development practices, program management, and executive-level communications.  The role will report to the Head of Technology Strategy and Business Management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall transformation of Lennar Technology Services to an Agile operating model as well as overseeing and program managing all transformation efforts more broadly
  • Manage the Agile COE practice, empowering Agile coaches and scrum masters to drive change across the organization
  • Own the Agile operating model from Quarterly Business Reviews through to Product Increment Planning down into Scrums
  • Define and measure key performance metrics at the top of the organization including velocity, burn down, and cumulative flow
  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement through delivering continuous education and change management (Agile principles and beyond) for the organization
  • Program manage and structure other transformational efforts across the organization as necessary / they exist
  • Implement major changes with minimal disruption including establishing feedback mechanisms to make adjustments as necessary
  • Act as the single point of contact for and partner with key tech partners across the organization including Product, Development, Architecture, Finance, Strategy, and so on to ensure a seamless operating rhythm
  • Identify transformation risks and develop recommendations to address those risks
  • Develop crisp and concise presentations for senior management 
  • Grow and develop individuals within the organization through ongoing feedback and clear goals and objectives

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or Master’s degree preferred 
  • Typically requires 12+ years’ progressive experience, with at least 4 years in technology program management and Agile development 

 

Physical Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the Director of Tech Transformation to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs.

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Self-starter able thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative and cross-functional environment that is outcome and results-driven 
  • Strong background in Agile practices and operating models, transformation program management, and change management 
  • Expert understanding of the product and software development lifecycle and processes as well as key tools including Jira and Confluence
  • Demonstrated ability partner effectively and drive change across functional areas 
  • Strong end-to-end problem-solving skills including:
    • Defining and deconstructing problems   
    • Prioritizing issues, analysis, and team capacity 
    • Applying strong business judgment to surface implications from analysis and developing practical recommendations  
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with ability to establish trust and credibility across lines of business and functions, work well in cross-functional teams, and influence key stakeholders 
  • History of managing varied teams of professionals in project-based environments with proven ability to coach and develop the team 
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills with ability to objectively prioritize 
  • Excellent executive-level written, visual, and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate technical topics to a non-technical audience 
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
