Overview

The Human Resources Generalist will manage the HR department’s associate engagement, development and reporting initiatives. The incumbent in this role will be responsible for providing support to the Human Resources Director and Chief Human Resources Officer.  Main areas of responsibility include, associate engagement and leadership development initiatives, HR analytics and reporting, leading the Emerging Leaders rotational program, and managing the HR Portal.  



Responsibilities

  • Responsible for creating, analyzing and reporting key HR metrics, trends and patterns company wide.
  • Responsible for consolidating data from various sources and creating clear, meaningful reports.
  • Proactively analyzes data to identify potential areas of concern, initiates discussions with HR leader and develops recommendations.
  • Plan, develop and implement programs and strategies to create and maintain a culture of exceptional associate engagement.
  • Creates and executes on associate recognition strategies, uses key metrics to formulate recommendations for department/business unit recognition programs.
  • Support the HR Director/Manager as a strategic communications partner by planning, developing and executing on effective communication strategies using a variety of different tools.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities to build best practice HR processes and standards in order to add value, solve problems and address customer needs.
  • Assist CHRO in leadership development initiatives. Coordinate leadership training and events, negotiate logistical needs, research and recommend reading materials and training plans.
  • Lead on all NextGen rotational program recruiting initiatives.
  • Responsible for creating HR branding and marketing collateral using Photoshop and or Adobe.
  • Manages the Human Resources page on the Company’s portal by conceptualizing content that is engaging, aligned to engagement initiatives and drives traffic to site.
  • Lead on all HR technology initiatives (automation, integration, process mapping, workflows, etc.)
  • Serves as backup to onboarding/off boarding activities. May be required to facilitate orientations and other similar daily HR activities.
  • Lead employee relations investigations and partner with HR Manager on action recommendations.
  • Act as lead for Corporate HR Coordinators


Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field required.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant Human Resources Experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of leading and executing employee engagement initiatives using a variety of progressive and traditional tools and platforms.
  • Experience with HR reporting and analytics and presenting findings in meaningful and actionable format.
  • Creative thinker with a proven track record of implementing innovative HR solutions.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel to include pivot tables, macros, analytical formulas and data tables.
  • Basic, working knowledge of SharePoint site development and administration.
  • Proficiency with Photoshop and/or Adobe, Visio and other business tools.
  • Strong and effective communicator.

Physical Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.

 

  • May require extended work hours.
  • Travel – less 20%

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong work ethic, loyal, trustworthy, honest, team player.
  • Experience with Taleo, Workday preferred.
