Overview

The NextGen intern will have the ability to interact with management in a fast-paced environment, while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient; a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role. Expert level written and verbal communication skills, as well as attention to detail, are equally required. This person will use a high level of creativity and analytical skills to complete projects within the department.

The purpose of this internship is to prepare college sophomores and juniors for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the Accounting functions of Lennar which will include theory and practical application of attained knowledge.



Responsibilities

  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and follow through on project deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Learn and understand specific business areas as assigned
  • Assist in projects as needed and in research for solutions for Company needs
  • Support Corporate and Division associates as needed
  • Develop planning, organizational and time management skills
  • Develop team-based work competencies
  • Develop interpersonal skills in order to communicate with employees, day-to-day business contacts, and external clients
  • Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars as required
  • Research and contribute out of the box solutions.


Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High School diploma required
  • College sophomores and juniors with a 3.2 GPA or higher
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • 1 year of experience in related field preferred
  • Willing to relocate for the duration of the internship
  • Ability to dedicate 40 hours per week to this intern program for the duration of the internship
  • Must be exceedingly well organized, flexible and enjoy the challenges of sustaining a department

Physical Requirements

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the Intern to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
