Responsibilities

Summary of Position:

The Sourcing Specialist will work in a dynamic environment and focus on sourcing and pipelining active and passive candidates for all departments and levels (including non-exempt, exempt, executives, etc.) The Sourcing Specialist will report to the LMC Talent Acquisition Manager and will assume a variety of responsibilities with an initial focus on reducing our time-to-fill, decreasing our need to contract external recruiters, and building a network of excellent talent in the multifamily industry.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strategically and proactively sources passive candidates to build and maintain a quality talent pipeline for current and future workforce needs.
  • Understands external market conditions and effectively educates other Talent Acquisition team members on best practices and sourcing techniques and tools.
  • Leverages effective, creative, economical and appropriate methods of engaging candidates.
  • Conducts initial candidate screening as requested by Talent Acquisition Manager.
  • Reviews resumes and contacts candidates via email, phone and other communication channels to ascertain fit and interest. Refers candidates to recruiters as appropriate.
  • Acts as a backup for the Recruiting Coordinator when they are out of the office or over capacity.
  • Responds to Associate requests/questions in a professional and timely manner.
  • Works alongside Talent Acquisition team and is willing to receive guidance from Recruiters for position specific information.
  • Works on special projects as assigned and cross trains as necessary.
  • Less than 10% required travel to on-site department meetings and career fairs.

General Overview of Compensation & Benefits:

  • The median base compensation for this position is estimated to be $65,000.00 [annualized], subject to adjustment based on business-related factors including employee qualifications and operational considerations.
  • This position may be eligible for performance-based bonuses as determined in the Company’s sole discretion.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelors’ degree required, Human Resources or Business-related discipline preferred.
  • 2-3 years of related Talent Acquisition experience required.
  • Familiarity with specialized sourcing strategies to proactively build candidate pipelines that generate sufficient quantity and quality to meet business needs in a cost-effective manner.
  • Experience using a LinkedIn Recruiter company license required.
  • Ability to perform various Boolean searches to refine data when utilizing databases.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong written/verbal communication skills when communicating with business partners and candidates.
  • Experience sourcing candidates from various resume databases.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all Associate issues (i.e. compensation, performance reviews, counseling notices, promotions, etc.).
  • Team player with strong work ethic.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle fast-paced work environment.
  • Interacts well with co-workers, executives, vendors, and other business contacts.
  • Accepts constructive criticism.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Physical Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the ability to work in excess of eight hours per day in the confined quarters of an office.  Also requires the ability to bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and/or carry items less than 25 pounds.  Finger dexterity in operating a computer keyboard and calculator.  Office work requires sitting at a computer monitor for extended periods of time, completing paperwork and to receive/return phone messages.  Standing is required for filing and copying.
