Overview

The HRIS Analyst will provide functional and technical system support in all areas of the Workday HCM System.  The incumbent in this position needs to be a subject matter expert in all aspects of Workday Absence and Time Tracking, with extensive knowledge in the areas of Business Processes, Reporting and Configuration. The HRIS Analyst will lead complex initiatives, conduct research on issues/concerns and mentor junior team members.



Responsibilities

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proficient in the current Workday HCM applications (Security, Reporting, Business Processes, Job Requisition, APIs, XML, and data extracts/transmissions)
  • Responsible for supporting, understanding, and maintaining Workday system and functionality, specifically core HCM, absence, time tracking and reporting
  • Will govern, trouble-shoot and configure HR business processes and validation rules in Workday, specifically related to absence and time-off plans
  • Understands Workday security domains and how to maintain security on business processes as it relates to absence and time tracking
  • Thoroughly understands business processes, condition rules and calculated fields
  • Recommend best practices related to Workday Absence and Time Tracking functionality
  • Provide daily operational support to end users in Workday
  • Has a full understanding of Workday Report Writer, Calculated Fields and Dashboards preferred
  • Responsible for troubleshooting technical problems, analyzing errors and diagnosing appropriate resolution with minimal or no supervision
  • Support Workday feature release updates and enhancements
  • Responsible for providing recommendations to senior management for process and/or system improvements
  • Responsible for conducting system testing for upgrades, UAT testing for customizations and/or other changes
  • Adept at working on multiple concurrent projects with nominal or no supervision. Able to educate, coach and oversee the activities of less experienced staff and other team members
  • Apply in-depth technical analysis to solve system and application issues
  • Demonstrate the ability to plan, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities. Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic work environment
  • Responsible for filing and record keeping of all requests for technical changes/enhancements to the system
  • Able to self-learn and develop skills as new functionality is delivered


Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Administration, Information Technology or related field
  • Workday HCM system experience 3+ Years
  • Relevant Human Resources Information Systems analyst experience 3+ years
  • Hands on Workday Absence and Time Tracking configuration experience 3+ years
  • Knowledgeable in Workday application Security Administration

Physical Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the HRIS Analyst to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
