Overview

Summary of Position Requirements

The Assistant Marketing Manager will work with the Director of Marketing on implementing the marketing plan and strategies for the division and communities. They will support the following marketing tactics: digital marketing and advertising, print advertising, direct mail campaigns, radio campaigns, traffic generation, collaterals, promotional events, public relations activities, and guerilla marketing efforts. They will manage the marketing coordinator on both administrative and tactical projects such as signage, special events, and website maintenance. #CB



Responsibilities

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide data and input as needed to generate overall marketing strategy and assist in executing marketing plan
  • Facilitate and plan all community events, such as a new community grand opening, model grand opening, and realtor functions, by working with ad agency and necessary vendors
  • Responsible for assisting in managing and working within the advertising and promotional budgets
  • Review and code approved invoices for accounting and budgeting purposes
  • Maintain daily communication with advertising agency to disseminate information, give direction on approvals of marketing collateral and ad releases
  • Oversee the marketing coordinator on the creation and ordering of community signage as needed and work with signage vendor on pricing, design and production time
  • Plan and supervise on-site community activities and events with marketing coordinator
  • Implement mass marketing, corporate branding, marketing strategy, media, public relations and special events within the division
  • Coordinate and assist in the development of all electronic files for high-tech (InSite) Welcome Home Centers
  • Partner with Marketing Director and advertising agency in adjusting market strategies accordingly in order to remain competitive with the changing market
  • In collaboration with ad agency, facilitate promotional brochures/e-blasts of incentives, grand openings of new communities, closeout community pricing opportunities, special financing opportunities, etc.
  • Partner with the Director of Marketing with monthly strategic marketing plans to drive Realtor, referrals and self-generating prospects to their communities. Follow up on plans to evaluate effectiveness
  • Drive individual communities for the Tampa Division on a regular basis to ensure compliance of execution regarding signage, collateral and execution of the processes and procedures from a marketing and advertising basis
  • In collaboration with Director of Forward Planning obtain up to date information and files to create sales renderings and collateral pieces for new communities within projected opening timeline
  • Partner with construction and sales departments on community siteplan, floorplan and elevation reviews as well as special projects as needed
  • Act as a liaison between purchasing and sales departments in receiving information of included home features and samples
  • Coordinate sales and marketing related meetings with vendors, ad agency, public relations agency, etc. as needed
  • Manage marketing subcontractors and suppliers as needed
  • Recommend, negotiate and manage interior design company in the interior design process for model homes and sales centers
  • Coordinate the photography and virtual tours of model homes on an on-going basis


Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, College degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in homebuilding industry or similar position.
  • General understanding of new home market place and marketing procedures
  • Able to review and understand architectural floorplans
  • Able to multi-task while meeting various deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, as well as strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to meet deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude, deal effectively with confrontational situations and maintain objectivity with homeowners, fellow associates, and in all public relations
  • Excellent computer skills including advanced Word, Excel, Lotus Notes (e-mail)
  • Requires resourcefulness, patience and clarity and strong management and motivational skills
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
