POSITION SUMMARY:            

Production and maintenance of working and presentation drawings using CAD coordination of engineering and architectural disciplines on a project basis. Time will be managed between Civil and architectural drafting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Oversee architectural design and production work for multiple projects at once.
2. Manage and supervise all related activities of a staff of designers and technicians.
3. Leadership ability to direct the work of others. Assist development path of fellow associates.
4. Maximize team productivity, provide value engineering, and deliver professional integrity.
5. Review and approve the work of design staff. Serve as lead designer for complex projects.
6. Present designs in order to ensure satisfaction and make revisions as necessary.
7. Develop project budgets and approve estimates. Prepare schedules, bids and proposals.
8. Expertise in all of the field's concepts, practices and procedures.
9. Perform a variety of tasks and offer extensive problem solving skillset.
10. Possess a wide degree of creativity and latitude.
11. Report directly to top management.
12. Directly manage the development of architectural designs and preliminary construction details.
13. Ensure architectural work is completed on time and adheres to established quality and standards.
14. Establish and maintain CAD standards and specifications.
15. Research and implement new products, procedures, systems, cost analysis.
16. Require extensive experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
17. Coordinate with consultants, engineers and trader partners.
18. Provide design solutions, planning, site development, marketing opportunities, due diligence.
19. Expert level knowledge of code compliance in all jurisdictions; city, county, state, international.
20. Proven ability to work with public officials at all levels.
21. Direct project development from concept to completion.
22. Prepare design review submittals, permit approvals, field change orders, construction documents.
23. Drive innovation and identify opportunity for efficiencies.
24. Perform all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Four (4) - six (6) years AutoCAD R14/2004 experience in the Civil and Architectural discipline
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture or Drafting/Design
• Valid driver’s license
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
• Must be able to perform accurate, consistent and detail oriented work
• Highly motivated

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This is a sedentary office position which requires the ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry office materials and supplies weighing 25 pounds or less.  Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.  May operate a motor vehicle.
