Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: 

The role will interface with all Lennar managers for Customer/Model Activations and model support and will be responsible for reporting construction of new models and monitoring home automation products/experience within all Division models. The Specialist shall support New Home Consultants and Division Personnel with general technology needs, along with homebuilding scheduling software and customer care survey coordination and reporting as directed.

This role is anticipated to be a split role to also include general purchasing department administrative duties and responsibilities, contracts, bidding and other team related duties. Split role time will vary based on needs and direction from Director of Purchasing.    

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Communicate new model construction schedules and installation needs to the Regional Account Manager
• Schedule and perform home automation training for NHCs
• Monitor the performance of the home automation products in each model weekly
• Report technology issues to the Regional Account Manager and Director of Purchasing
• Perform basic troubleshooting of home automation products in models
• Ensure models are 100% ready for activation by completing a walkthrough and checklist prior to opening date
• Work with local trades to ensure activation readiness
• Provide feedback on training issues, effectiveness, and improvements.
• Responsible for ensuring onsite training complies with all company/ department policies and procedures.
• Establish and maintain communication on stats of NHC training and submit to the Lennar division leadership and the Regional Account Manager.
• Perform onsite observations of activations
• Monitor and respond to Home Automation Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
• Monitor and troubleshoot all self-guided tour automation issues in all model homes (top priority)
• General Purchasing department duties, contracts, bidding duties, etc. as direct by Director of Purchasing

EDUCATION AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• One (1) – three (3) years’ experience in tech industry, preferred home automation sector
• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in technical, digital or computer science preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Fundamental residential home automation knowledge
• Basic network configuration
• Use of test equipment (Network tester, Toner, FVD, etc.)
• Use of technology tools (tablet, phone, laptop)
• Skills in Microsoft Office Suite
• Microsoft Excel and JD Edwards experience are required
• Basic network troubleshooting
• Smart home technology knowledge
• Remains up to date on all job-related updates

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The ability to operate a motor vehicle, climb stairs, climb ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and/or carries equipment which may be more than 25 pounds. Finger dexterity may be required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
