Overview

The Land Coordinator reports to the VP of Land Acquisition. The Land Coordinator Efficiently and accurately manages the documentation processes associated with purchase and sale of land and homesites. The Land Coordinator will work closely with multiple members of the Land Acquisition team, outside Attorneys and Real Estate Sellers. #CB #ZR



Responsibilities

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:


Assist the Land Department in day-to-day administrative activities
Prepare and manage a calendar of dates upon which certain events must occur such as; end of feasibility, delivery of survey and closings
Review contracts and keep a list of requirements and due dates
Items may involve recording deed restrictions, filing plat applications by certain dates and a myriad of other items
Document each deposit of earnest money, track deposit due dates and perform due diligence to ensure they have been received by the appropriate party
Manage closing requirements and closing dates by tracking due dates for each closing, conditions precedent for each closing and perform due diligence to ensure the appropriate parties are notified of closings in accordance with the PSA
Manage the raw land closings process of setting closing dates, assisting the accounting department in reviewing closing statements, and assuring that the seller and Lennar’s land team has met contractual obligations precedent to closing
Manage the process of a homesite periodic purchases by setting closing dates, assisting the accounting department in reviewing closing statements, determining final purchase prices with adjustments and assuring that the seller and Lennar’s land team has met contractual obligations precedent to closing



Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:


High school diploma (College or Business school desirable)
A minimum of 5 years’ experience working for a homebuilder, law firm, title company or mortgage company
Experience must include reviewing contracts, tracking important dates and reviewing accounting documents associated with loans or real estate purchases
Ability to read and interpret legal documents
Advanced PC skills including use of Excel and Word systems experience preferred
Must possess professional attitude to represent the company in a positive manner
Efficient time management and prioritization capabilities
Superior communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Ability to work with multiple parties including members of the Land Acquisition team, outside attorneys and real estate sellers
Willingness to learn

Physical Requirements:
This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry office materials and supplies weighing 25 pounds or less. Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator. May be required to operate a motor vehicle.
