The Lead Developer will be involved in all aspects of the development life cycle. This role will work with analysts, architects and engineers to plan, design, develop, unit test solutions based on the functional and technical specifications to meet quality and performance requirements.

This position requires a highly technical and strategic lead developer who will serve as a critical member of the Data and Analytics team, reporting to the Sr. Manager, Data Engineering. Associate is accountable for organizing, gathering, and analyzing data across all lines of business, both internal and external, to develop quantitative and qualitative business insights and improve decision making. Associate will be a key player in providing the Data and Analytics team access to clean and reliable data for analysis, dashboards, and machine learning analyses.


  • Act as technical lead in the development and implementation of Data Engineering Solutions.
  • Design, build, manage and optimize reusable enterprise data pipelines effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates effective working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Independently able to solve technical problems
  • Effectively coach, mentor, and lead other developers.
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintains composure and professionalism in a developing environment
  • Must be flexible and manage multiple changing priorities/tasks


Technical Skills:

  • Deep understanding of Data Engineering Stacks and tools (i.e. Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Informatica, etc.), Data Engineering architectural approaches, Data Engineering Solutions, Software Engineering principles and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of relational data platforms (i.e. SQL Server), including MPPs (Snowflake, Redshift, Azure Synapse)
  • Strong understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling patterns.
  • Strong competency with SQL Querying, Programming, and data analysis.
  • Competently performs advanced IT tasks with minimal supervision, including architecting advanced Data Engineering Solutions, leading and coaching other developers, and effectively partnering with key stakeholders.
  • Understanding of all aspects of development including, but not limited to, gathering requirements, designing future state solutions, development of objects related to process scope and supporting testing and post implementation support
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the technology used for their area of expertise
  • Ability to adapt to new technical innovations and business processes

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • 7 or more years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant certification required
  • Experience in working with large, heterogeneous datasets in building and optimizing data pipelines, pipeline architectures and integrated datasets using traditional and new data integration technologies (such as ETL, ELT, data replication, change data captures, message-oriented data movement, API design, stream data integration and data virtualization)
  • Experience working with cloud data engineering stacks (i.e. Azure) and tools (Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Informatica, etc.)
  • Experience working with relational data platforms (SQL Server) including MPPs (Snowflake, Redshift, Synapse, etc.)
  • Proficiency in SQL Querying and Programming.
  • Proficiency in one or more Object Oriented or Procedural Programming languages (C#, Java, Python) highly desired.
  • Exposure to Spark, Databricks, PySpark and Scala highly desired.
  • Exposure to cloud technology stacks (preferably Azure).

Physical Requirements: This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary. 10-20% of travel is required.
