Overview

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

Assist department staff with various tasks involving starts, permits and planning process and other related duties as directed by the Product Manager.



Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for completing permit applications.
  • Responsible for permit application delivery to all municipalities and pick up when ready.
  • Responsible for permit delivery to applicable project superintendents.
  • Assist project coordinators with sales administration and start copying tasks.
  • Assist with the starts processing paperwork coordination.
  • Assist Product Development Manager with design review and plan submittal to all municipalities.
  • Review, analyze and redline required documentation for community startup. This includes, but is not limited to: Community Specifications, Lot Fits, Typical Plot Plans, Electrical Minis, Flooring Minis, Exterior Color Schemes, and Sales Collateral including renderings and elevations.
  • Assist Product Development Manager with acquiring, organizing and archiving necessary land development and infrastructure documentation for new communities. This includes, but is not limited to: Final Plat, Site Plan, Grading and Drainage Plan, Electrical Plan, Water & Sewer Plan, Paving Plans, Landscape Plans, Geotechnical Surveys, etc.
  • Assist Product Development Manager with the generation and submittal of required Model Home Complex materials to the necessary municipalities.
  • Assist Product Development Manager with the generation and submittal of required Sales and Construction Office materials to the necessary municipalities.
  • Occasionally attend functions pertaining to municipality procedural changes.
  • Occasionally attend first-build, field frame walk trough’s to notate required plan redlines.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

EDUCATION AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • One (1) year experience in homebuilding preferred, but not required
  • Valid motor vehicle license
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to multi-task while meeting various deadlines
  • Team player with strong work ethic
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality relative to daily work schedule is required
  • Follow directions from a supervisor
  • Interact well with co-workers
  • Understand and follow posted work rules and procedures
  • Accept constructive criticism
  • Team player

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry office materials and supplies weighing 25 pounds or less.  Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.  May be required to operate a motor vehicle.
