Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: 

This position requires assisting the Regional Sr. Merchandising Operations Manager on purchasing responsibilities within the Merchandising Department.  The position requires an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, be detail oriented, self-sufficient, dependable, able to cope under pressure, maintain good judgement, eager to learn and have a professional, supportive attitude.



Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reconcile all Merchandising Department purchases and travel expenses with Corporate Credit Department
  • Manage vendor invoices and work directly with Division Accounting teams for timely payment  
  • Manage Department expense reports, budgets and arrange travel accommodations
  • Oversee Merchandising Department’s storage facility
  • Assist Merchandising Operations Manager with schedules, department activities and model home extras
  • Assist the Merchandising Teams on furniture purchasing where needed
  • Attend model installations when necessary
  • Assist Merchandising Manager on special projects as necessary

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • One (1) year of experience in Marketing and/or Interior design preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • California Motor Vehicle License – unrestricted. Moderate Regional travel (including overnight trips and flights) may be required
  • Must possess initiative and be highly motivated
  • Experience in purchasing and/or accounting preferred
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint on Macintosh platform
  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented
  • Ability to multi-task at a fast pace
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality relative to daily work schedule is required
  • Strong work ethic, good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Copes well under pressure and can accept constructive feedback

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

Position requires the ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry office materials and supplies weighing 25 pounds or less.  Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard.
