Job Description

Overview

Record corporate and regional bank items (deposits and wire transfers) as well as escrow deposits.  Prepare related schedules and research revenue related issues as needed. Process a high volume of transactions daily with the ability to work under minimal direct supervision. Position requires attention to details, organization and effective time management.



Responsibilities

  • Process daily receipts (Cash/ACH/Wires) for several regional and corporate depository, operating and escrow bank accounts.
  • Download and record Title Initiated payments from financial institution in JDE.
  • Review documentation for escrow deposits and research as needed.
  • Assist in the department’s internal and external audits as needed.
  • Research unidentified bank deposits and other cash suspense items.
  • Act as a liaison among divisions, corporate and banks.


Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • General accounting experience with computer background.
  • Land Development experience preferred.
  • JD Edwards experience highly desirable.
  • Team Player.
  • 10 key by touch.
  • Must possess organizational skills: Control the constant flow of paperwork, obtain the goals of the department by prioritizing your own workload.
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills: must be able to communicate effectively with other associates, managers and banking institutions.
  • Must be able to listen effectively and follow directions.
  • Must be proficient in operating the various computer software programs used by the company.
  • Must be able to work efficiently with minimal direct supervision.
  • Must have the initiative to accomplish assignments with limited direction.
  • Is creative and well organized in problem solving.
  • Detail orientated.
  • Able to follow directions from supervisor.
  • Interact well with co-workers.
  • Understand and follow posted work rules and procedures.
  • Accept constructive criticism.
  • Is flexible, easily adapts to changes, embraces improvements and is willing to learn new processes, procedures, systems and tools.
  • Minimum of 2 years in an office/accounting environment or related position.

Physical Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the Revenue Assistant to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.

 

This is a position which requires the Revenue Assistant frequent walking, standing and climbing of stairs in/around homes, models and properties. Must also have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 50 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.

 

 

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Accounting degree or hands-on accounting experience.
  • JD Edwards experience.
  • Bank Reconciliations experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
