Job Description

The System Engineer - AV provides support for videoconferencing (VTC) and collaborative A/V efforts, including collaborative displays in conference rooms, offices, large meeting spaces and huddle rooms on Miami campus. The Engineer must also be able to quickly and effectively diagnose and correct small to complex issues relating to the A/V equipment that supports these functions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Installing and configuring cutting-edge videoconferencing and collaboration solutions.
• Maintaining A/V infrastructures and conducting routine preventative maintenance to minimize down time.
• Ensuring that installation, configuration and operation of conference room equipment exceeds our customers’ expectations.
• Facilitating and monitoring key A/V meetings and events, including live-streams.
• Assist with the implementation of AV solutions as needed.
• Visit/travel to our Florida Offices (if needed).
• Understand and apply industry standards and best practices.
• Provide technical walkthroughs with customers at end of implementations.
• Provide A/V support  to our Central Region (Austin,Dallas,Houston,Sam Antonio) and visit/travel to the offices as needed.
• Identify and implement alternative technology approaches to meeting customer requirements.
• Position requires reliable, consistent and punctual attendance.
• Other job duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• 5+ years relevant work experience (Mobility, macOS & iOS, pc, tablet systems/solutions).
• Bachelors Degree or Certification required.
• Valid Drivers License required

Physical Requirements:

This is a position which requires the System Engineer, AV frequent walking, standing and climbing of stairs in/around homes, models and properties. Must also have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.

Additional Requirements:

• Experience with Polycom CMA infrastructure.
• CTS certification.
• Audio Video Troubleshooting skills must be expert level.
• Field engineering or lead installation experience.
• Must have the flexibility and ability to travel periodically/regularly, depending on company needs
• Strong willingness to learn new systems and take on projects is a must.
• General knowledge of A/V infrastructures & wiring.
• General knowledge of booking tools & Microsoft Exchange and Office 365.
• Experience with video conferencing equipment from vendors such as Cisco & Polycom.
• Advanced knowledge of current Cisco Telepresence products.
• Knowledge of web conferencing applications.
• General knowledge and experience with VOIP telephony.
• Experience providing desktop support.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Interact well with co-workers, supervisors and management.
• Maintain professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
