The Advisor, Payroll plays a key role in the administration of payroll processes, ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time. This position will involve advising employees on payroll-related matters, providing support to the payroll team, and assisting with various payroll tasks, including data entry, compliance, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll systems and an ability to provide excellent customer service to employees and managers.

Your Responsibilities on the Team
Process payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies, state and federal regulations.
Review and verify timekeeping records, deductions, and benefit contributions to ensure accuracy in payroll processing.
Ensure timely and accurate payroll calculations for regular, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and other payroll-related items.
Advise employees on payroll-related matters, including paycheck inquiries, deductions, tax filings, and benefits.
Respond to employee payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Collaborate with HR and management to address payroll-related concerns or discrepancies.
Ensure that payroll practices comply with federal, state, and local laws, including tax filings and labor regulations.
Generate reports for payroll audits and compliance purposes.
Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end payroll processing, including the preparation of payroll-related tax filings and reports.
Maintain accurate payroll data in the payroll system and assist with system updates as needed.
Work closely with IT and HR teams to resolve payroll system issues or process improvements.
Assist with testing new payroll systems or updates to existing platforms.
Partner with HR, finance, and benefits teams to ensure alignment across various payroll functions.
Assist with special payroll projects or initiatives as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field (preferred).
3-5 years of payroll experience, with an understanding of payroll processing and systems.
Familiarity with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday, etc.) and basic understanding of labor laws and tax compliance.
Certification in Payroll (e.g., FPC, CPP) preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:
This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
