The purpose of this internship is to prepare college juniors and seniors for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of corporate Audio Visual Technology, Business Operations and Project Management functions of Lennar Homebuilding which will include theory and practical application of attained knowledge.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Learn and understand specific business and technology areas as assigned 
  • Assist in needs analysis for projects; in research for solutions for needs
  • Document business processes that will be applied to specific audio-visual equipment and applications being evaluated
  • Support Corporate and Division associates in audio-visual technology
  • Perform special projects as determined by AV services 
  • Develop planning, organizational and time management skills
  • Increase knowledge of AV technology and Video Teleconferencing
  • Develop team-based work competencies
  • Develop interpersonal skills in order to communicate with employees
  • Develop interpersonal skills in order to communicate with day-to-day business contacts through follow up calls, emails and visits
  • Develop interpersonal skills in order to communicate with external clients


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Local college juniors and seniors with a 3.0 GPA or better. 
  • Major desired: Studio / Media Technology or Theater Arts Technology
  • Energetic, organized and detailed skilled with today’s technology
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team-based environment
  • Independent worker
  • Ability to dedicate 40 hours per week to this intern program.

Physical Requirements:

This is primarily corporate office position which requires the Audio Visual Service Intern to have the ability to manage AV equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.

Additional Requirements:

  • Travel to different locations by air or car
  • Arrive to Work on Time.
  • Follow directions from a supervisor.
  • Work independently of daily supervision.
  • Interact well with co-workers and associates at all company levels.
  • Accept constructive criticism.
  • Work as part of a team
  • Understand and follow documented work rules and department procedures.
  • Present training material either in person or via Video Teleconferencing.
