The Permit Coordinator at Lennar is responsible for overseeing the Starts Process at the division office.  This includes developing panels, collecting paperwork, submitting for approvals and permits, and entering data into several JD Edwards screens.  This position requires a high level of organization and ability to manage the critical tasks related to starting a home in Lennar’s system.

Your Responsibilities on the Team 

  • Oversee architectural design and production work for multiple projects at once.

  • Manage and supervise all related activities of a staff of designers and technicians.

  • Leadership ability to direct the work of others.

  • Assist development path of fellow associates.

  • Maximize team productivity, provide value engineering, and deliver professional integrity.

  • Review and approve the work of design staff.

  • Serve as lead designer for complex projects.

  • Present designs in order to ensure satisfaction and make revisions as necessary.

  • Develop project budgets and approve estimates.

  • Prepare schedules, bids and proposals.

  • Expertise in all of the field's concepts, practices and procedures.

  • Perform a variety of tasks and offer extensive problem solving skillset.

  • Possess a wide degree of creativity and latitude.

  • Report directly to top management.

  • Directly manage the development of architectural designs and preliminary construction details.

  • Ensure architectural work is completed on time and adheres to established quality and standards.

  • Establish and maintain CAD standards and specifications.

  • Research and implement new products, procedures, systems, cost analysis.

  • Require extensive experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.

  • Coordinate with consultants, engineers and trader partners.

  • Provide design solutions, planning, site development, marketing opportunities, due diligence.

  • Expert level knowledge of code compliance in all jurisdictions; city, county, state, international.

  • Proven ability to work with public officials at all levels.

  • Direct project development from concept to completion.

  • Prepare design review submittals, permit approvals, field change orders, construction documents.

  • Drive innovation and identify opportunity for efficiencies.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Four (4) - six (6) years AutoCAD R14/2004 experience in the Civil and Architectural discipline

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture or Drafting/Design

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)

  • Must be able to perform accurate, consistent and detail oriented work

  • Highly motivated

  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality relative to daily work schedule is required

  • Follow directions from a supervisor

  • Interact well with co-workers

  • Understand and follow work rules and procedures

  • Accept constructive feedback

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:

This is a sedentary office position which requires the ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry office materials and supplies weighing 25 pounds or less.  Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.  May operate a motor vehicle.

General Overview of Compensation & Benefits:

We reasonably expect the base compensation offered for this position to range from an annual salary of $87,721.37 - $135,266, subject to adjustment based on business-related factors such as employee qualifications, geographic pay differentials (e.g., cost of labor/living, etc.), and operational considerations.
