The Contract Administrator assists in the preparation, review, and administration of contractual proposals relating to construction projects. Secures all necessary approvals and ensures that standard company procedures are followed.

Your Responsibilities on the Team
Set up and maintain all contract and log files.
Initiate all paperwork regarding contracts, change orders, work order notifications, back charges, and checking all for accuracy (i.e., coding, signature, amounts, etc.)
Prepare contracts for each trade and follow-up on obtaining signatures.
Respond to field requests for contract information
Provide information for Subcontractor’s Insurance Certificates
Interface with Accounting Department to ensure prompt payment for Subcontractors.
Input and maintain contract documents in JD Edwards and paper files.
Communicate with Trade Partners regarding all contract and change order correspondence.
Assist with the filing and organizing of plan flat files and engineering files.
Interface as necessary with other Departments in a professional manner.
Perform clerical and administrative duties to support the Land Department
In addition to the above, each employee will be required to cross train for position(s) within the division organizational structure as required by the Division President.

Your Toolbox
High school diploma minimum, bachelor’s degree preferred
1-3 years with administrative experience
Notary preferred, but not required
Advanced PC skills, including use of Excel and scheduling software
Ability to meet multiple deadlines in a complex environment
Strong written, oral, organizational and math skills
Valid, unrestricted Motor Vehicle License
Arrive to work on time
Follow directions from a supervisor
Must be resourceful with patience and clarity
Handle priorities under pressure
Interact well with co-workers
Understand and follow posted and distributed work rules and procedures
Accept constructive criticism

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements
Regular, in-person attendance at Company communities/job sites and offices during regular work hours is an essential function of this job. Requires the ability to work more than eight hours per day in the confined quarters of a construction trailer, the ability to operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and/or carry equipment which may be in excess of 50 pounds. Job may require occasional operation of construction equipment. Finger dexterity may be required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
