We are seeking a skilled DevOps and Deployment Engineer to support our Mobile Engineering team by managing and optimizing the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, infrastructure automation, and deployment processes. The ideal candidate will be experienced in Azure DevOps, GitHub Enterprise, and modern DevOps practices, ensuring efficient, reliable, and scalable mobile application delivery.

Your Responsibilities on the Team 

1. CI/CD Pipeline Management:

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines on Azure DevOps tailored for mobile application development.
  • Integrate GitHub Enterprise as the source control tool for seamless code management and deployment.
  • Automate build, test, and deployment workflows for both iOS and Android platforms.

2. Infrastructure Automation:

  • Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) to provision and manage cloud resources.
  • Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of the mobile backend infrastructure.
  • Automate repetitive tasks to improve team efficiency and reduce manual errors.

3. Deployment & Monitoring:

  • Manage mobile application deployment processes, including app store submissions (App Store, Google Play).
  • Implement monitoring and alerting solutions using tools like Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or Grafana.
  • Ensure zero-downtime deployments and high availability for backend services supporting mobile applications.

4. Collaboration & Support:

  • Work closely with mobile developers, backend engineers, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment workflows.
  • Provide guidance and best practices for DevOps to the Mobile Engineering team.
  • Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain secure DevOps practices, including static and dynamic code analysis.

5. Optimization & Best Practices:

  • Continuously improve pipeline performance, build times, and deployment speed.
  • Stay updated on the latest DevOps tools and practices to keep the team’s processes state-of-the-art.
  • Implement best practices for branching strategies, automated testing, and code reviews using GitHub Enterprise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD pipeline management, or infrastructure automation.
  • Proven experience with Azure DevOps and GitHub Enterprise.

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in CI/CD pipeline tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and scripting languages (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
  • Strong understanding of mobile-specific build tools and environments, such as Xcode, Gradle, and Fastlane.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Azure Resource Manager (ARM), or Pulumi.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience implementing monitoring and logging solutions (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana).

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive mindset and eagerness to streamline and improve processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with mobile application deployment processes, including app store management (App Store, Google Play).
  • Familiarity with security tools and practices such as SonarQube, Snyk, or Azure Security Center.
  • Knowledge of Azure cloud-native services like Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, or Azure App Services.

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
