We are seeking a director of internal communications who will help build and support a world-class Communications function by developing and managing all internal communications projects and initiatives across the organization. We are seeking an experienced strategic communications leader responsible for internal communications, content and programs that align, inspire and engage our valued associates and help raise awareness and understanding of Lennar's vision, strategy, culture and priorities across the organization. This key role will oversee the development and execution of internal communications that foster associate understanding, awareness and excitement about our Company and ensure that we are telling a clear and consistent story across all key associate audiences. The director of internal communications will report to the SVP, Communications and will have a strong working relationship with key teams across HR, content, technology, finance and other functions companywide, both on the national and divisional level.



Your Responsibilities on the Team

  • Develop and actively manage scalable communications channels to share information with Lennar associates in a clear and consistent manner

  • Seamlessly integrate internal communications into the wider communication approach and potential external context (e.g. social media channels)

  • Partner with SVP, Communications and cross-functional teams to amplify the voice of the

  • Associate to ensure clear and consistent storytelling across all associate touchpoints

  • Determine the best methods for effective internal communication, including the development of an editorial calendar, tone, content, style and distribution strategy

  • Develop best practices/KPIs to enable continuous improvement of the internal communications function, including using internal associate engagement and communications data to drive insight that helps us improve the way we listen and communicate across the channel mix

  • Leverage entrepreneurial mindset and data-driven approach to continuously test, iterate and evolve programming to achieve improved results over time

  • Possess excellent written and verbal communications skills; translate complex challenges into simple and clear communications

  • Proactively build and manage relationships with internal teams on both the corporate and divisional level across the organization, and coordinate with them to ensure timely and successful execution of communication initiatives, including organizational changes, HR updates and benefits information, company news, business milestones, and more

  • Prepare briefing materials, presentations, and reports for internal meetings







Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably with a focus on communications, English/journalism, business or related fields

  • Preferred experience of 10+ years in communications, preferably with a focus on internal, corporate and/or HR communications

  • Experience in crisis communications and change management a plus

  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time

  • Outstanding written communication, presentation and copy-editing skills, with ability to synthesize complex concepts and translate into simple, clear, and effective communications

  • Proven track record delivering effective internal communications programs that translate strategic thinking into action plans and output

  • Able to operate well within ambiguity and be able to reshape and/or build processes to enable world-class internal communications

  • Demonstrate initiative, is highly organized and able to meet deadlines and deliverables

  • Ability to build trusted cross-functional relationships within the Company

  • Strong knowledge of best-in-class internal communications practices, technology trends and proficiency with next generation communications tools

  • Cares deeply about culture and associate engagement; friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:


Regular, in-person attendance at Company communities/job sites and offices during regular work hours is an essential function of this job. Requires the ability to work in excess of eight hours per day in the confined quarters of a construction trailer, the ability to operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and/or carry equipment which may be in excess of 50 pounds. Job may require occasional operation of construction equipment. Finger dexterity may be required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
