The District Manager will oversee the operations, growth, and success of the mortgage division across a designated district. This role involves strategic planning, building and maintaining relationships with builder partners, managing a team division and production managers, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, and meeting sales targets. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the mortgage industry, experience in team leadership, and the ability to foster relationships with a wide range of business partners.
Your Responsibilities on the Team
Develop and manage Division and Production Managers to company standards.
Oversee day-to-day operations, including loan origination.
Build business relationships with builder Division Presidents and sales leadership.
Drive metric improvement and efficiency
Provide production metrics and performance updates to the Regional Manager.
Collaborate with the Regional Manager to grow the district and ensure profitability.
Manage staffing and increase productivity.
Hire and train new Division and Production Managers.
Conduct performance reviews and handle disciplinary actions.
Promote a professional team effort and provide coaching.
Participate in strategic planning and set measurable goals.
Ensure compliance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Minimum 3-5 years as a branch manager
Minimum 4 - 5 years of application and processing experience or equivalent mortgage background
Strong computer background with 4 to 5 years experience in mortgage software
Current knowledge of closing and title requirements
Current knowledge of loan processing and automated underwriting systems
Current knowledge of FHLMC/FNMA/FHA/VA and industry underwriting guidelines
Current knowledge of self-employed borrowers, partnership and corporation tax return analysis
Strong computer background with 2 to 3 years experience in mortgage software and working knowledge of Word for Windows and Excel
Strong mortgage operations background
Valid driver's license and transportation
Remote based position - candidate can be located in either EST, CST, or MST
CONTACTS:
Regular interaction with homebuilding sales associates, prospective home buyers, lender representatives and underwriters, escrow and title personnel, credit bureaus and appraisers. Also deals with homebuilding division management as well as mortgage division staff. Visit Sales Offices and Subdivisions as needed.
Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:
Requires the ability to operate a personal computer, fax machine, copier, climb stairs, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry materials and supplies weighing 20 pounds or less. Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard.
