The primary responsibility of this position is to carry out, with little direction, oversight, or additional review, projects managed by the National Finance Group, including monthly reports, financial models, joint ventures and Mergers and Acquisitions activites and various advanced analytical functions.



  • Serve as primary liaison and point of contact for National Finance Group to external partners and legal counsel on financial matters, answering questions and providing analyses, expertise, and guidance on such matters and their impacts throughout the organization.
  • Audit the work of Divisions; where errors are discovered, take initiative to educate applicable individuals in order to rectify/prevent them going forward.
  • Manage and oversee multiple Regional forecasts, requiring the delegation of work required to prepare the same across multiple Divisions.
  • Proactively monitor internal forecasts and, based on risk calculus, intervene/counsel such forecasts as appropriate.
  • Provide Divisions with financial guidance with respect to complex financial questions.
  • Render expert counsel to supervisor and senior management with respect to financial matters within Financial Analyst’s direct oversight.
  • Prepare quality monthly reports for senior management, along with insight and advice that will directly shape strategic decisionmaking.
  • Construct complex project specific financial models.
  • Track land acquisitions for the entire Western Region.
  • Consolidate and summarize information from Homebuilding divisions.
  • Special Projects and ad hoc analysis as necessary.
  • Review and analysis of Mergers and Acquisitions opportunities as presented.
  • Support Joint Venture Activities and Analysis.
  • Prepare financial proforma analysis.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.



  • Minimum four (4) years of related work experience required
  • Bachelor's Degree required; with emphasis in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Mathematics or Accounting preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel (Cash Flow Modeling, Index Match, Date, If), Word, PowerPoint; VBA a plus.
  • Detailed professional with strong analytical skills and ability to learn quickly and independently.
  • Solutions oreintated individual with the ability to support and be innnovative
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment, utilizing multi-tasking skills
  • Organizational skills required; meeting deadlines in a timely manner
  • Responsive to needs and inquries of client groups, peers and others
  • Strong work ethic with ability to accept constructive feedback and apply it to work habits
  • Maybe required to drive upon occasion



This is primarily a sedentary office position, which requires the ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift and carry office supplies and materials of weights of 25 pounds or less. Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.  Position may require the ability to work in excess of eight (8) hours per day.
