The Lead Technician | Enterprise Data Administrator is responsible for creating and maintaining the enterprise metadata including but not limited to common business definitions of metrics, key performance indicators, entities, technical objects, etc. as required to support data governance enforcement, data model creation and maintenance, and data frameworks and tools such as Data Quality and Reporting.  The Data Administrator is also accountable for the administration of tools and standards required to ensure the health of the enterprise metadata.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for development using Informatica Data Governance (Axon), EDC, Data Quality
  • Work to resolve any data source ingestion issues.
  • Provide administration support for Informatica EDC and Axon
  • Support installation, configuration, upgrades, and business continuity support.
  • Operationalize the ingestion of new data sources as needed.
  • Validation of performance metric requirements.
  • Creation of EPICS/User Stories.
  • Creation and validation of dashboard and report mock-ups.
  • Automation of data acquisition from a variety of data sources.
  • Dashboard and report development.
  • Testing – integration, load and stress, and user.
  • Deployment/Publication internally and externally.
  • Establish, enforce, and revise standards for documenting all data components
  • Librarian of all data architecture models
  • Create, maintain, and enforce the metadata framework standards to clearly identify all metadata tags, characteristics, and definitions required for the identification, collection, and use of data throughout the enterprise
  • Ensure the accuracy and validity of enterprise metadata
  • Other job duties as assigned


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in technical writing, communications, and metadata data classification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related field, or certification required
  • Hands-on Informatica Data Governance (Axon), EDC, Data Quality, and PowerCenter preferred or experience with other Data Catalog and Governance Tools required.
  • Hands-on experience configuring EDC and Axon, including but not limited to business glossaries, dashboards, policies, search, and process maps.
  • Experience creating scripts to automate Informatica administration tasks, schedules, and deployment activities
  • Experience with Agile Development
  • Experience with JIRA or other Project Tracking Software

Physical Requirements: This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
