The Manager, Content Writing will oversee the creative writing team, ensuring the production of high-quality, engaging, and on-brand content. This role involves managing the content creation process, developing content strategies, and mentoring writers to achieve excellence in their work. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, a keen eye for detail, and strong leadership skills.
Your Responsibilities on the Team
Team Management: Lead, mentor, and support a team of writers, providing guidance and feedback to ensure high standards of creativity and quality.
Content Strategy: Develop and execute content strategies that align with the company’s brand and objectives. Collaborate with other departments to ensure content meets business goals and audience needs.
Content Creation: Write, edit, and oversee the creation of a wide range of content, including blog posts, articles, marketing copy, social media posts, and other written materials.
Quality Assurance: Review and edit content produced by the team to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines and style guides.
Project Management: Manage content calendars and workflows, ensuring timely delivery of projects and effective prioritization of tasks.
Innovation: Stay updated on industry trends and emerging content formats and integrate new ideas and technologies into the content creation process.
Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, design, and other teams to develop cohesive and compelling content campaigns.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in creative writing, English, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
Experience: Proven experience in a creative writing role, with at least 7 years of experience in content creation and management. Prior experience in a managerial or leadership role is preferred.
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong command of language and grammar.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Creative thinking with a passion for storytelling and content innovation.
Additional Requirements:
Must be open to regular travel.
Previous job experience in video pre-production, production, post-production.
Strong organizational skills in managing tight deadlines and budgets.
Strong time-management organizational and skills Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.).
Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:
This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
