The Manager, UX Design leads a team of UX Designers in delivering user-centered, visually compelling digital experiences that align with Lennar’s business goals and brand standards. This role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end UX design process across multiple products, driving the strategic vision for user experience, and fostering cross-functional collaboration across product, engineering, marketing, and research teams. The Manager, UX Design is both a strong individual contributor and a people leader, responsible for mentoring designers, guiding design best practices, and ensuring a consistent, intuitive, and engaging experience for users.
Your Responsibilities on the Team
Lead the planning and execution of UX strategy across digital platforms and products in alignment with user needs and business priorities.
Manage and contribute to the design process from research and ideation through high-fidelity prototyping, testing, and final delivery.
Drive the use of user-centered design methods, ensuring all design decisions are grounded in user research, accessibility standards, and data insights.
Oversee the development and refinement of design systems and UI pattern libraries to maintain visual and interaction consistency.
Manage a team of UX Designers, providing mentorship, career development, and design feedback to support skill growth and high performance.
Cultivate a culture of design excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Conduct regular design critiques and support peer review processes to ensure high-quality output.
Partner with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to align design strategy with technical feasibility and business goals.
Act as the UX point of contact for assigned products, influencing roadmaps and prioritizing design work based on user impact and business value.
Present design work and research insights to cross-functional teams and senior leadership, advocating for the user and the value of design.
Lead or guide usability testing, surveys, interviews, and analytics reviews to inform design decisions.
Monitor post-launch product performance and user feedback to identify improvement opportunities and optimize the user experience over time.
Stay current with UX/UI trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously elevate design standards.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Fine Arts, or related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
5–7 years of UX/UI design experience, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership, mentoring, or management role.
Proven success leading design projects and teams in a fast-paced digital product environment.
Strong portfolio showcasing UX and visual design work across web and mobile platforms.
Advanced proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and InVision.
Experience building and maintaining design systems at scale.
Working knowledge of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and how they inform design feasibility.
Strong communication and storytelling skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:
This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
