Purchasing Agent Summary:

Provides analytical and technical support to vertical purchasing group.  Role requires ability to consolidate purchasing information, assist in the creation purchasing reporting schedules, manage/ update existing purchasing tools and direct system improvement projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Update and distribute monthly CPSF by plan and major category analysis.
  • Prepare summary report per SF benchmark comparison for each plan on new communities.
  • Assist in the collection and distribution of bid information.
  • Process all TOC and UA forms, research and follow up of TOC and UAs with trades.
  • Create tracking report for all TOC/UA forms processed.
  • Box - Setting up folders, assist with organizing bid packages, and send out request for bids.   
  • Interact with Construction Managers to resolve day to day issues.
  • Update and Post Bid Tools for new communities via Box.
  • Manage Master Bid Tools with new item numbers.
  • May be required to cross train for positions(s) within the division organizational structure from time to time, as required.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Two (2) to six (7) years of experience with purchasing support role preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required
  • Must have strong computer skills
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality relative to daily work schedule is required
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must posses professional attitude to represent company in a positive manner
  • Follow directions from a supervisor
  • Understand and follow work rules and procedures
  • Accept constructive criticism
  • Team player

General Overview of Compensation & Benefits:

We reasonably expect the base compensation offered for this position to range from an hourly rate of $23.95 - $38, subject to adjustment based on business-related factors such as employee qualifications, geographic pay differentials (e.g., cost of labor/living, etc.), and operational considerations.
