The SAP Platform Principal Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of Lennar Financial Services’ SAP S/4HANA system. You will ensure the platform aligns with strategic business objectives, compliance requirements, and enhances operational efficiencies across the enterprise.

Your Responsibilities on the Team 

  • Serve as the primary point of accountability and ownership for the SAP S/4HANA platform.

  • Work with executive leadership, solution architects, and global process owners to define and execute an ERP roadmap and plan that meets business objectives.

  • Working with business units to ensure the SAP S4HANA system supports their processes and meets their needs.

  • Collaborating with various stakeholders, including business users, IT personnel, and executive management, to understand their needs and ensure alignment.

  • Manage relationships with external vendors (including consultants, managed service providers) ensuring they deliver high-quality services and solutions that meet business needs.

  • Identifying and implementing improvements to business processes supported by SAP S4/HANA, leading to increased efficiency and productivity.

  • Managing and leading ERP projects, including S4/HANA implementations and upgrades, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Oversee the design and implementation of SAP modules, ensuring they are configured and customized to support industry standards and practices.

  • Establishing and managing project budgets, tracking costs, and reporting on budget variances.

  • Provide financial analysis, expense modeling, spend analysis and reporting in order to identify cost saving opportunities and cost increase avoidance strategies.

  • Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks related to the SAP S4HANA system.

  • Providing training and support for end-users and other stakeholders.

  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and resolve problems related to the SAP S4HANA system.

  • Provide regular updates to the steering committee, head of PMO and business unit leaders on progress, risks, and decisions.

  • Stay abreast of the latest SAP developments and industry trends, driving continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Serve as the Finance and Controlling SME for SAP post-implementation.

  • Provide ongoing system support, troubleshooting, and process optimizations.

  • Identify areas for process improvement within S/4HANA RISE to drive efficiency, scalability, and automation. Support business stakeholders in optimizing business workflows and system operations.

  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to enhance system functionalities, reporting, and automation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer since or related field

  • At least 10 years of experience in SAP, with a proven track record of leading and delivering complex projects.

  • Proven track record/experience in successful implementation and managing enhancements and operations of S/4 HANA platform (preferably on RISE platform).

  • Experience with financial modules within SAP S/4HANA (GL, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Treasury, and Reporting).

  • Experience in financial services, preferably within the mortgage and title industries (preferred but not mandatory).

  • Strong leadership in program governance, executive communication, and stakeholder management.

  • Proven track record in budgeting, cost control, and vendor management and negotiation.

  • Experience working with Operations and Finance business stakeholders to manage solution delivery through the development lifecycle, provide training and guidance, and create process and training documents.

  • Experience gathering requirements, perform analysis, writing functional specifications, designing and configuring system and, leading training, developing system documentation, and interface solutions.

  • Ability to effectively coordinate and manage cross-functional and technical activities with strong negotiation and leadership skill.
