Job Description

It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they are doing!

We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Content Developer to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to join a senior, collaborative group building the future of 3D home visualization.

Our 3D technology runs in front and back-ends (Babylon.js, Unreal) and is superpowered by services running in the cloud using Python/C++ and hosted in AWS. For this role, proficiency in content creation tools such as Pixar’s USD, Houdini, Unreal Engine, V-Ray, 3DS Max, and Blender is preferred. Development skills in Python and C/C++ are also valued. Whether you love to dive into algorithmic details of automated 3D modeling tools, manipulate 3D objects, or build compelling 3D content, there will be something to sink your teeth into.

To be successful, your 3D content creation skills must be coupled with a passion for 3D tools and “the home”. You will also bring a growth mindset towards collaborating within the dynamics of a fast-paced team. In return, you’ll have a space to share your ideas alongside a Chief Product Officer who has created 3 computer visualization companies and a VP of 3D Tools who ran core visualization technology for the entirety of Autodesk.

Responsibilities

- Designing and Implementing Content Creation Solutions: Understand user requirements, design content workflows, and create efficient processes to implement those systems.

- Testing and Debugging: Ensure content meets quality standards using automated processes to identify and fix issues and maintain content post-deployment.

- Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with developers, UX/UI designers, business analysts, and project managers. This collaboration is essential for understanding requirements, integrating systems, and ensuring that the content aligns with business goals and user needs.

- Documentation: Write and maintain detailed documentation for future reference and for other team members who will work on the content.

- Version Control and Review: Use version control systems like Git and participate in reviews to ensure content quality and consistency.

- Continuous Learning and Skill Development: Stay updated with the latest content creation tools, programming languages, and best practices.

- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Find creative and efficient solutions to complex challenges.

- Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum.

- Maintenance and Optimization: Post-deployment, maintain and optimize content to ensure performance and scalability.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s (or Master’s) of Computer Science, Math, Graphics, or Software Engineering

- 5+ years of professional software development experience, including building web applications or 3D games.

- 2+ years of professional 3D content development, including work on modeling tools

- Strong coding and architecture skills, particularly in Python and C++ - Proficient with content creation tools such as USD, Houdini, Unreal Engine, V-Ray, 3DS Max, and Blender

- Proficient in computer graphics skills, including:

o Geometry and image processing

o UV parameterization

o Physically based materials and rendering (preferred)

- Proficient with web standards, cross-browser compatibility issues and solutions
