Overview

As a Sr. Agile Coach, your main responsibility is to coach and assist leaders across the organization through their Agile transformation. You will also ensure our team consistently delivers on the overall strategy. This will require Agile and organizational change expertise, outstanding facilitation and conflict resolution skills, and servant leadership. 

In this role, you will collaborate with and mentor coaches, executives and Senior Leadership. You can think strategically, identify and overcome challenges as they arise. You are a strong facilitator who can lead a group session but who is equally comfortable in a collaboration role. You also understand when taking the lead is required and when it's better to let others challenge themselves to lead. 



Responsibilities

  • Manage & Lead team of scrum masters to perform responsibilities across portfolios according to principles and scrum team needs
  • Responsible for coordinating with the scrum masters and agile teams to understand progress, identify issues and ensure we are presenting cohesive solutions.
  • Lead external partners to deliver on agile activities towards goals and roadmaps defined as part of the scoping
  • Implement transformation drivers, goals, priorities, and metrics with internal stakeholders and the agile / scrum teams across the organization.
  • Understand Lennar’s technology development and deployment approaches including the participating stakeholders, processes, metrics, and structures.
  • Apply an assessment or maturity model framework to evaluate team or product readiness for transformation. Identify issues and blockers and implementing strategies to overcome.
  • Coach internal stakeholders in approaches for handling transformation blockers and opportunities.
  • Support, coach and help mature the key agile roles across the teams including: Product Owners, Business Owners, Scrum Masters, Kanban Leads
  • Establish the standards by which teams will operate related to agile principles and ceremonies, and train and coach teams accordingly
  • Implement and continuously improve metrics to determine the progress of transformation activities.
  • Oversight of JIRA and other tools used as part of the agile processes, coordinating across teams to ensure effective set up / configuration and use


Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:

  • Experience participating in an agile transformation as an internal/external coach at team level, project/portfolio and enterprise
  • Demonstrated experience in Agile Practices (Lean, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe etc.)
  • Experience improving or transforming a process, group, or organization and leveraging change management techniques to optimize delivery
  • Active in the Agile Community (user groups, speaking engagements, blogging) High emphasis on continuous learning, knowledgeable of new practices and coaching techniques
  • Bachelors degree

Preferred Qualifications for Consideration:

  • 10+ years IT experience in infrastructure or software development
  • Previous experience in a leadership role, preferably as a people manager
  • Solid experience in process improvement and change management.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to function in a fast moving and growing environment.
  • Ability to influence others through collaborative efforts.
  • Experience leading Enterprise Agile transformations
  • Experience coaching C-suite and executives
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization from the team to C-suite
  • Experience mentoring coaching teams for consistent delivery
  • 10 + years of Agile coaching experience
  • Expert in-person and remote facilitation skills
  • Remote coaching experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills 

Physical Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the Sr. Agile Coach to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.

10-20% Travel is Required
