Your Responsibilities on the Team 

  • Investigate highly sensitive HR and Employee Relations issues, including: Conducting interviews with involved parties; Analyzing data from various internal systems; Case adjudication; Providing consultation on remedial action based on investigation findings; Produce complete investigation documentation.
  • Independently manage assigned casework, bringing investigations to closure rapidly and definitively in compliance with company policies and legal standards.
  • Advises and trains leaders in best employee relations practices and strategies for managing escalations and employee concerns. 
  • Analyze aggregate casework data to identify issue trends and opportunities for proactive issue mitigation.
  • Contribute to analysis and revision of people programs, policies, and practices to sustain a positive work environment for all Lennar Associates.
  • Consult and collaborate with business partners, Legal teams, and vendors on complex employee investigations.
  • Work on critical employee relations issues that are crisis-oriented and need to be completed with limited time.  Balancing time between projects and crisis-response is a critical component for success in this position.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years combined human resources, labor relations, Legal, or HR investigation experience. Including experience with Case Management Systems including back-end administration and reporting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Law, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of federal and state employment and labor laws.
  • Experience in conducting investigative fieldwork, including interviews with complainants, witnesses, and potentially involved parties, investigative data analysis, and production of investigative documentation.
  • Comfort with ambiguity; passion for building new initiatives; experience in using HR metrics to find root causes; and an empathetic and collaborative style of leadership.
  • Technically proficient in MS Office Suite systems
  • Ability to travel at minimum once a month.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree, JD, or other specialized training in labor/employee relations a significant plus
  • Professional HR certification preferred (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, HRCI, AWI, etc.)
  • Association of Workplace Investigators (AWI) certification or other relevant mediation/investigation-related certification (e.g., CEI, CPI)
  • Strong evidence of career development and or/evidence of superior performance in previous roles

Physical Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
