The Senior Privacy Compliance Analyst role reports to the Lennar Technology Solutions, Senior Privacy IT Manager on the Controls & Compliance Team.  The Senior Analyst utilizes business knowledge in combination with practice skills to monitor, detect, identify, analyze, evaluate, report and assist in the response of data privacy and protection. The Role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing and legal to implement our data protection framework by design and default. Expertise in privacy regulations and ability to interpret and apply them to our data processing and marketing practices will be essential in mitigating risks and maintaining our executive stakeholders’ and consumers' trust.

Your Responsibilities on the Team 

  • Stay up to date with U.S. privacy regulations, including but not limited to CPRA, VCDPA, CPA, CTDPA, UCPA and other relevant laws and guidelines.

  • Process Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) to fulfill privacy rights’ requirements.

  • Prepare monthly and YOY DSAR reports.

  • Maintain and update DSAR response templates as needed upon approval.

  • Provide DSAR training by showing our practical roadmap from beginning to end, and meeting deadline(s) as required by law.

  • Analyze monthly the updates and trends of our consumers’ communication preferences.

  • Prepare and maintain documentation, including policies, procedures, and records of compliance activities, to demonstrate our commitment to privacy compliance.

  • Conduct data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) on existing and new applications and enhancements. 

  • Demonstrate understanding of data encryption and security operational controls: Analyze and apply frameworks such as SOC 2 Type 2 reports to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.

  • Review and update risk assessments, including those related to AI systems.

  • Maintain and update the risk register: continuously document, monitor and revise identified risks, ensuring appropriate mitigation measures are tracked and prioritized.

  • Regularly review and test cookie management tools to ensure auto-blocking mechanisms are functioning correctly and that no cookies are set prior to obtaining user consent.

  • Conduct data mapping exercises: identify and document all data elements, their sources, flow across systems, storage locations, and associated processes to ensure accurate data tracking and compliance.

  • Assist in privacy product integration and enhance business value where necessary.

  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging best practices related to data privacy and provide recommendations for adjustments to our practices and policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as privacy or information management, or a related discipline. Additional certifications in data protection and privacy are a plus.

  • Minimum 5+ years' experience working in data privacy compliance.

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them to practical scenarios.

  • Detail-oriented and proactive approach to identify risks, gaps, and areas for improvement in privacy compliance.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate privacy-related concepts to diverse stakeholders.

  • Ability to work full five-day workweek in the office.

  • Capable of working autonomously as well as collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

  • Skilled in managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the Senior Privacy Compliance Analyst to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
