Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director, Finance Process Excellence is focused on leading the transformation, optimization, and standardization of finance operations across the enterprise. This role is responsible for evaluating the end-to-end finance operating model and designing scalable, efficient, and controlled processes that support Lennar’s growth and financial performance.
The Director, Finance Process Excellence will partner across accounting, FP&A, treasury, shared services, and operational business leaders to assess the current operating environment, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement sustainable solutions. This role will build, re-engineer, and modernize finance processes across functional dependencies, ensuring strong internal controls, data integrity, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
This is a critical leadership role responsible for driving enterprise-wide process excellence initiatives, establishing performance metrics, and delivering long-term solutions that strengthen financial discipline, transparency, and scalability across the organization.
Your Responsibilities on the Team
Establish and oversee key performance indicators for core finance processes; identify trends, root causes, and forecasts to ensure alignment with financial and operational objectives.
Lead enterprise-wide reviews of finance workflows to identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities across accounting, reporting, forecasting, and transactional operations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives through process redesign, standardization, and automation to enhance accuracy, cycle times, and cost efficiency.
Partner with senior finance and business leaders to define success metrics, prioritize initiatives, and align on transformation roadmaps.
Facilitate working sessions and workshops to evaluate current-state processes and design future-state operating models.
Translate business needs into structured requirements, implementation plans, and measurable outcomes using data-driven methodologies.
Lead cross-functional initiatives using disciplined project management practices to ensure delivery against defined financial and operational goals.
Ensure finance processes align with internal controls, compliance requirements, and audit standards.
Develop executive-ready communications and reporting that provide transparency into initiative progress, risks, and outcomes.
Perform periodic quality, compliance, and effectiveness reviews to ensure processes operate as designed and continuously improve.
Research and prepare updates on finance trends, transformation opportunities, and program progress for executive leadership.
Build and reinforce a culture of continuous improvement within the finance organization; mentor and guide partners and stakeholders.

Your Toolbox
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field required.
10+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting operations, finance transformation, or process excellence.
Demonstrated leadership experience driving enterprise-level finance process improvement or transformation initiatives.
Lean Six Sigma certification required; Black Belt strongly preferred.
Deep understanding of finance operations, including accounting, reporting, forecasting, internal controls, and shared services environments.
Experience with ERP and financial systems (e.g., Hyperion and/or JDE) and workflow automation tools.
Proven track record of leading end-to-end process improvement initiatives and delivering measurable outcomes.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data, identify root causes, and quantify impact.
Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with executive stakeholders across functions.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with process mapping and visualization tools (Visio, Lucid, Miro) preferred.
Strong executive communication and presentation skills.
Results-oriented with strong ownership and follow-through.
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment and lead through ambiguity.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements
This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
