The Lead Software Engineer, ServiceNow reports directly to the Engineering Manager. As a Lead Software Engineer, ServiceNow, you would be responsible for directing a team of ServiceNow developers of all experience levels in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging.  This is also a hands-on role where you will also be expected to be configuring, developing, testing, and implementing ServiceNow for Lennar. Responsibilities include working closely with the product management team to ensure we deliver the best user experiences. As a Lead Software Engineer, ServiceNow, you will be a core player and expected to build and grow the skillsets of the more junior Engineers.

Your Responsibilities on the Team 

  • Recognized role model and provide technical guidance to Associate ServiceNow developers.
  • Work closely with Business Analysts/Product owners to understand and document the business outcomes and functional requirements and lead the design of complex, effective ServiceNow solutions that align with those needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead the implementation of ServiceNow solutions that align with the designed requirements and ensure solutions meet industry best practices. Develop and maintain advanced scripts, business rules, and client scripts.
  • Analyze platform performance, design optimization strategies, and implement performance and security improvement configurations, contributing to the overall stability, efficiency, and security of ServiceNow solutions.
  • Leads implementation efforts within their area of expertise.
  • Develops/implements new configurations and custom applications for ServiceNow.
  • Establishes priorities aligned with business strategy, guides others within area of expertise.
  • Demonstrates effective working relationships with key stakeholders.

Your Toolbox 

  • Recognized expert in assigned area; expertise in multiple areas / technologies.
  • Implementation knowledge of different ServiceNow modules (CMDB, ITSM, HRSD, ITAM, Custom Apps, Employee center).
  • Hands-on knowledge of Integration Hub, REST API and Custom Portal Widgets.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Flow Designer, UI Builder, Virtual Agent, NOW mobile configuration, Business rules, Access controls, Advanced scripting.
  • Experience with JavaScript, GlideScript(ServiceNow), HTML, CSS, AngularJS and other web technologies.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems
  • Proactively research / recommends new applications of technology in assigned area; drives adoption within team.
  • Leads the development / revision of standards, processes and procedures in assigned area, mentors others on advanced coding techniques.
  • Manages quality of code, testing and integration of deployed solutions
  • Resolves integration issues across technology platforms; mentors others in problem solving techniques
  • Expert in all aspects of system development lifecycle; influences methodology
  • Leads product / service delivery efforts in area of expertise, ensuring change management / control processes are followed
  • Aligns solutions with IT strategy and standards
  • Understands nuances in different techniques and approaches
  • Designs entire systems of data integration and analysis
  • Performs code reviews on others' work
  • Can work quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to teach others through examples
  • Demonstrated learning in intermediate statistics and analysis

Education and Experience Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and ServiceNow Developer/Implementation certification required
  • 8+ years’ experience in IT field
  • 6+ years hand-on ServiceNow developer experience
  • 2+ years as a Lead ServiceNow Developer

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
