Overview
This IT Manager position oversees company’s Web Administration, Mobility & Desktop Engineering teams. Associated responsibilities include systems engineering, administration and tier III support around Windows, macOS and iOS and all associated desktops, laptops, tablets and mobile phones. Additionally, this position oversees administration efforts around all web properties including hosting efforts, domain names, SSL certificates, DNS records and developer access.
Responsibilities
- Directly supervises individuals and teams supporting endpoint infrastructure and web administration environments
- Ownership, engineering, configuration and administration of company’s Windows workstation landscape including 6,500 laptops, desktops and Microsoft tablets
- Ownership, engineering, configuration and administration of company’s macOS systems including 400 Mac laptops and desktops
- Ownership, engineering, configuration and administration of company’s mobility landscape including 8,500 iPhones and iPads
- Ownership and administration of applications and systems including AirWatch, SCCM, Intune
- Ensure workstations across the enterprise are in alignment with standards and are adequately patched and maintained in adherence to security standards and protocols
- Ensure that mobility standards and best practices are adhered to across company’s mobile landscape
- Allocates and prioritizes routine tasks and/or project work; provides support and guidance to their team
- Facilitates effective working relationships between team members
- Maintains staffing for team, including hiring, onboarding, training, evaluation and performance management
Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Manages routine IT operations
- Manages the operation, control, maintenance and effective use of technology in assigned area; monitors performance
- Provides technical management; monitors work to ensure that agreed service levels are met and all relevant policies and procedures are followed
- Prioritizes all IT maintenance and implementation work; coordinates across teams
- Provides support services and ensures that operational problems are identified, recorded, monitored and resolved
- Provides appropriate status and reporting to users and managers
- Ensures that operational procedures and working practices are fit for purpose and current
- Investigates and manages the adoption of appropriate tools, techniques and processes (including automation) for the management of systems and services in assigned area
- Monitors process / risks and initiates actions to handle exceptions
Education and Experience Required
- 7+ years of experience in field or in a related area.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (or certification)

Physical Requirements: This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary. 10-20% of travel is required.
