As a Lennar Senior Technical Designer, you will take ownership of the technical support and quality assurance experience across multiple stages of the project lifecycle. You will play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of modeling accuracy and visual excellence while leading quality

assurance efforts for 3D models and deliverables, whether internal or

external vendors.

This role requires a strategic mindset and excellent communications, as you

will spearhead the development of 3D models, provide guidance to cross-functional teams, and collaborate closely with other teams within Merchandising and Visualization Services. Your expertise will help refine workflows, optimize quality assurance processes, and elevate the overall

standards for Division assets.

The primary focus of this role is on 3D modeling, technical execution,

process improvements, and vendor management. The ideal candidate has a strong background in 3D modeling, and architecture, coupled with a passion for innovation, problem-solving, and continuous improvement. Additionally, you should possess excellent collaboration skills and the ability to mentor

junior team members, implement feedback, and drive best practices across teams. Full-time availability is required. Previous experience in 3D modeling and/or architecture is required.

Your Responsibilities on the Team 

Technical Duties

3D Modeling & Asset Creation

• Ability to create high-quality 3D models based on documents

provided.

Texturing & Materials

• Apply realistic textures, colors, and materials to models using internal software.

• Optimize materials for realistic lighting and shading effects in real-time engines.

Rendering & Visualization

• Generate high-resolution Virtual Tours, videos, and interactive 3D experiences.

Quality Control & Revisions

• Create and review models for accuracy, proportion, and realism.

• Cross-check all documentation submitted by the division to confirm the project model was constructed correctly

• Create fix reference decks for internal and external stakeholders to communicate corrections needed for the project model to be correctly constructed according to client documentation.

• Fix modeling errors, adjust lighting, and enhance textures as needed.

• Ensure all vendors using 3D modeling tool are providing high quality results and following established best practices.

• Lead tool troubleshooting with internal and external teams when needed.

Workflow Optimization

• Train, analyze, and evaluate current modeling and rendering processes to identify areas for improvement for both internal users and vendors.

• Develop streamlined workflows for asset creation, texturing, and rendering to optimize production time without compromising quality.

Team Responsibilities

• Assist in training for the technical design team.

• Assist in exercises for implementing new standards for in-house software when needed.

• Effectively notify all project stakeholders across multiple internal teams to ensure any project blockers are addressed in a timely manner.

• Generate deliverables- virtual tours, videos, and occasional static renders by the due date in various stages of the project lifeline.

• Communicate clearly and effectively across internal teams when deliverables are ready or delayed.

• Manage multiple project timelines consecutively and escalate issues using our internal support teams and proactively communicating with the internal team and stakeholders.

• Collaborate with other team members, willingness to support other team members in case other designers are unavailable (OOO, sick, vacations, etc)

• Manage and accurately update project statuses across multiple project management systems.

Requirements

• Prior 3D modeling experience required (Auto-CAD, SketchUp, Rhino, and/or Revit preferred).

• Must be able to read construction drawings and architectural plans proficiently.

• Has an Interior Design and/or Architecture Degree or equivalent experience/background within interior design and real estate industries.

• Residential merchandising or home staging background is preferred.

• Experience in Airtable, Adobe, Asana or a similar project management system is preferred.

• Understands the nature of residential construction industry and is quickly able to adapt to changes.

• Willingness to learn and implement critical feedback from partners and team members.

• Excellent project & time management skills.

• Ability to work with remote teams asynchronously, and in different time zones.

• Must be an energetic, creative team player who takes initiative and who would enjoy styling residential homes for the growing real estate market.

• The candidate must have critical thinking abilities and be excellent at multitasking.

• Must show a willingness to assist other team members.

General Overview of Compensation & Benefits:

We reasonably expect the base compensation offered for this position to range from an annual salary of $55,538.00 - $70,123, subject to adjustment based on business-related factors such as employee qualifications, geographic pay differentials (e.g., cost of labor/living, etc.), and operational considerations.
