About the Role

As a Sr Financial Reporting Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting Lennar’s external financial reporting and SEC compliance functions. This position is responsible for preparing and reviewing quarterly and annual SEC filings, supporting audit activities, conducting accounting research, and analyzing financial trends and business performance.
 

You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, Finance, Investor Relations, and external auditors while gaining exposure to complex accounting matters, public company reporting requirements, and strategic business initiatives.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare quarterly Form 10-Q and annual Form 10-K filings in compliance with SEC reporting requirements
  • Assist with the preparation and review of earnings releases, annual reports to shareholders, and proxy statements
  • Prepare and review various SEC filings including Forms S-3, S-4, 8-K, and other required disclosures
  • Partner with external auditors to support quarterly reviews and annual audits
  • Perform quarterly financial trend analysis and variance analysis to support executive and investor reporting
  • Conduct accounting research related to complex business transactions and new accounting pronouncements
  • Research and monitor emerging accounting guidance and assess potential impacts to the organization
  • Maintain and summarize industry and homebuilding market data for reporting and benchmarking purposes
  • Review monthly financial reports, executive summaries, and Board of Directors reporting packages
  • Prepare and maintain financial schedules, supporting documentation, and reporting workpapers
  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets and reporting tools to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy
  • Support special projects, ad hoc analysis, and process improvement initiatives as needed
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, Finance, Investor Relations, and Operations teams
     

What You Bring (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • 4–7+ years of accounting and/or financial reporting experience
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles
  • Experience supporting SEC reporting requirements and public company filings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality
     

What Sets You Apart (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Master’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA designation or active CPA candidate status
  • Experience working with public company external reporting processes
  • Familiarity with JD Edwards, Essbase, ReportsNow, BlackLine, and/or Workiva
  • Experience performing technical accounting research and documentation
  • Knowledge of homebuilding or real estate industry financial reporting practices
  • Exposure to executive-level reporting and Board presentation materials
  • Process improvement mindset with the ability to identify efficiencies and reporting enhancements
