The Sr Permit Coordinator will assist in managing all permit/plan activity in the division. Duties include applying for permits with the respective municipalities, compiling, updating, and maintaining reports, meeting with county officials/municipalities, maintaining files, etc.

Your Responsibilities on the Team
Train Permit Coordinators to ensure top performance of all team members in achieving desired results while finding efficient and effective solutions that create overall organizational value.
Maintain the departments master files for permit submittals.
Obtain documents from Engineers and Architects to facilitate the permit application process.
Obtain all required approvals for permits and act as liaison between the company and each municipality.
Prepare and submit applications to various agencies/ boards having jurisdiction over required permits and/or approvals.
Review any plans issued out of the division for correct revision dates and review start packages for accuracy.
Prepare check requests.
Coordinate paperwork and applications with outside consultants as necessary.
Submit paperwork for permits.
Work closely with the municipalities on the status of permits and ensure they are processed in a timely manner while also acting as a liaison to build solid relationships with the jurisdictions.
Produce and maintain schedules for all communities and coordinate with municipalities from approval to final stages of permitting process.
Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, etc.
Enter permitting data.
Prepare start packages for Construction Managers.
Maintain all company files relating to site plan applications, approvals, licenses and permits.
Meet with county board, attend Hearings on behalf of Lennar, to present project and request approval.
Responsible for maintaining/sharing the starts log & SOP to our trades and associates for visibility on start projections. Also ensuring that our SOP’s are provided to the ROC for any starts on at least 60 days out.
Represent the company as a seat on HOA Boards.
Assist the permit manager with start date management.
Assist the permit manager with obtaining all necessary items for new community/phase set ups and starts to ensure on-time delivery.
Requirements
Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 1 year of permitting experience required
Experience with single/multi-family and amenity permitting preferred
Knowledge of the Construction Industry preferred
Strong organizational and management skills, ability to prioritize and take initiative
Must be able to read blue prints and plot plans
Must be detail-oriented team player comfortable working in a fast paced environment with heavy volume workload
Advanced PC skills Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent follow-up, communication (written and verbal) and time management skills
Able to professionally perform multiple detail-oriented tasks with simultaneous deadlines
Contacts
Daily interaction with various division personnel, outside agencies, business partners, consultants, and homeowners.
Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:
Must be able to operate a motor vehicle. Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, lift, walk, move and/or carry equipment in excess of 20 pounds. Finger dexterity is necessary. Able to sit at a computer monitor for extended periods of time to complete paperwork, meet with trade partners, and receive/return phone messages.
