Overview

 POSITION SUMMARY: 

Manage the ongoing finance and contract-related obligations of division’s joint venture investments and wholly owned assets.



Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and coordinate the financial analysis process related to management of real estate assets and evaluate development and financing alternatives.
  • Develop computer models necessary to facilitate analysis.
  • Assist in all financial analysis required to manage proformas of existing developments and coordinate proforma analysis with accounting systems.
  • Prepare analysis of applicability of public and private financing to particular communities. Coordinate communications between necessary parties to complete such financing.
  • Prepare updates and schedules for periodic corporate reporting.
  • Assist/coordinate the land sales contracting process.
  • Assure a smooth transition between proforma budgets and working budgets. Assist and monitor the budgeting and budget updating process.
  • Track joint venture obligations and assure compliance.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.



Qualifications

EDUCATION AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimimum seven (7) years of work experience with at least three (3) years homebuilding experience
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Strong accounting background
  • Advanced PC skills, including use of Excel Spreadsheet and Microsoft Word for Windows
  • Problem-solving desire/orientation and be able to deal with complex problems in an efficient manner leading to management decisions and recommendations
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical and writing skills required
  • Hands on individual-detail oriented
  • Basic good judgment, high moral and ethical standards
  • Follow directions from a supervisor
  • Interact well with co-workers
  • Understand and follow work rules and procedures
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Accept constructive feedback
  • Team player with strong work ethic


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry office materials and supplies weighing 25 pounds or less. Finger dexterity required to operate a typewriter, computer keyboard and calculator. May be required to operate a motor vehicle.
