The Senior Closing Manager is an energetic leader within their assigned organization responsible for developing managers, associates and loan pipelines pertaining to the Closing department of Lennar Mortgage. They will supervise and coordinate all aspects of loan closings to meet organizational and borrower goals. Direct responsibilities are to oversee and/or review all submitted loan closing documentation and processes to ensure all loans do not close until final underwriting contingencies have been addressed within their Region. The Senior Closing Manager will partner closely with Title, Processing, Underwriting, IT, and Quality Assurance divisions to maintain accuracy and compliance.

Your Responsibilities on the Team 

  • Partner with Leadership in the supervision of loan closing associates, ensuring high morale, excellent customer service and maximum volume and profits.

  • Develop strong Closing Managers who can manage their teams and pipelines.

  • Supervise their assigned Regional departments and monitor pipelines to ensure the pipeline is being worked and closing timely.

  • Anticipate and accommodate loan-funding volume requirements and maintain the proper timeline and staffing to manage said volume to meet funding goals.

  • Interface with Processing, Underwriting, QC, Secondary and other departments to ensure loans are closed correctly and salable to investors.

  • Utilize reports and audit systems to manage correctness and accuracy of loan documents and funding (wires) to avoid delays and duplication of efforts.

  • Assist and/or support proper and complete post-closing packages as required by investors.

  • Partner with internal post-closing auditors to maintain proper quality control guidelines within the team and to collect post-closing items to meet investor requirements.

  • Ensure procedures are in place to meet the policies and procedures for shipping files to Lennar Mortgage for post-closing to meet investor guidelines for “shipping, insuring and guaranteeing loans.”

  • Uphold familiarity with lenders and investors closing requirements, forms and procedures.

  • Uphold an atmosphere of inclusiveness and positivity in the funding department to ensure a the Lennar culture thrives and grows.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years in an Operations Closing Leadership role.

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years funding and/processing experience, including conventional and government. Bond loan experience a plus.

  • Strong computer background with 3 to 5 years experience in mortgage software and working knowledge of Excel and Word for Windows.

  • Strong verbal communications skills.

  • Excellent analytical capabilities.

  • Strong knowledge of preliminary title report endorsements and potential for problems with same.
