Lennar has an opportunity for a Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) professional who will support planning and mitigation for events that would disrupt critical business processes.  The plans would enable Lennar to continue operations or efficiently recover from a business disruption.

Develop, maintain, or implement business continuity recovery strategies and solutions, including risk assessments, business impact analyses, strategy selection, and documentation of business continuity recovery procedures. Plan, conduct, and review business continuity exercises to test the adequacy of existing plans and strategies, updating procedures and plans regularly. Act as a coordinator for continuity efforts during an actual disruptive event.

Your Responsibilities on the Team

 

  • Maintain Policies and Procedures to meet company standards for Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.

  • Perform Business Impact Analyses and Risk Assessments to establish the basis for the recovery strategies and plans.

  • Prepare Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans to meet recovery objectives.

  • Train Associates on their recovery plans and responsibilities.

  • Plan and Execute recovery exercises and evaluate plan effectiveness.

  • Coordinate with Crisis Management Team Members, Recovery Teams, and Associates during exercises or actual events.

  • Provides 7X24 on-call support for any emergency which may require activation of all or part of the Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery plans.

  • Maintain all Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery data in the Business Continuity Management System, including BIA’s, Risk Assessments, Plans, and Exercise Results.

Requirements

  • 5+ years dedicated to Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning.

  • Proven, successful, and comprehensive experience in Business Continuity Management.

  • Experienced in the implementation and administration of Business Continuity Management Systems (BCMS) and emergency notification systems.

  • Experience developing exercises for recovery teams to test plans and practice regular continuity exercises.

  • Excellent communication and program management skills.

  • Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science or Business Administration, or equivalent education/training from an accredited and recognized institution, or equivalent experience.

  • Certifications a plus: CBCP, BCI, ISO, FEMA, CEM, AEM, PMP.

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledgeable in the Business Continuity Lifecycle, including BIA’s, Risk Assessments, Planning, Training and Exercises.

  • Ability to collaborate within diverse organizations and work with associates in departments across the enterprise.

  • Possesses the ability to research best practices, solutions, and new ideas to enable continuous improvement within the program.

  • Knowledge of information technology infrastructure as it pertains to applications, databases, storage, backups, replication, and other recovery related capabilities.

  • Ability to mentor the Business Continuity Program Analyst.

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
