As Manager, Business Insights-Data, you will guide and inspire your team to take a data-driven approach in designing and implementing strategic solutions aimed at enhancing and optimizing revenue strategies and metrics to improve financial results. As part of the corporate Business Analytics leadership team, you will collaborate with senior analysts, business leaders and IT professionals during the requirements definition, design, development, and maintenance phases. This role is key for identifying data sources, calculations, and reporting tools to ensure projects meet business objectives. Your Responsibilities on the Team
Drive data strategy initiatives that directly impact revenue growth, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction by leveraging cutting-edge analytics and reporting tools.
Lead a team of data analysts and assist the broader Business Analytics teams as well as Lennar’s divisions in executing the Company’s data strategy goals.
Take ownership of the data and work to ensure that data is as complete and accurate. This may require working with functional leaders to understand business processes behind the data and with IT teams to understand how the data is sourced, processed and stored. Guide your team on completing data completeness and accuracy.
Summarize data from various sources and provide commentary or observations based on analysis. Sources of data may be enterprise systems, SQL databases, cloud data such as Snowflake, and complex spreadsheets.
Strong analytics foundation and ability combine large volumes of different data into clear, concise and actionable insights.
Effectively communicate with business partners to develop a deep understanding of business methodologies while aligning technology capabilities with business goals.
Tell a story that clearly ties business goals with various reporting tools such as Power BI dashboard and paginated reporting; tools that go beyond just showing data.
Collaborate with IT professionals to learn and adopt enterprise strategies and best practices.
Create/support functional and technical requirements for BI solutions.
Highlight/identify gaps in existing analytics functionality and review requirements and potential solutions with stakeholders.
Capture, analyze, and document as-is state process, to-be state process, and the functional data required to traverse the gap.
Translate requirements into test conditions and expected results for data product and user acceptance testing.
Ensure business facing solutions meet requirements outlined in design documentation.
Ensure developed solutions are peer reviewed and formally documented.
Actively monitor (through automation or otherwise) reports for continued accuracy.
Provide advice and conduct reviews during development lifecycle.
Provide mentorship and guidance to team members to improve their technical skills, data analysis capabilities, and overall professional development.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation by staying up-to-date with industry advancements and implementing new tools or methodologies to enhance analytics and reporting capabilities
Your Toolbox
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or other related field. Master’s degree or comparable work experience is preferred.
Managerial experience or experience managing junior team members required.
5-8+ years experience in data analysis, reporting and SQL.
Demonstrated skills and experience developing and performing quantitative analysis which may include financial and/or statistical modeling.
Experience at working as a leader and collaborator in a team-oriented environment is essential.
Strong oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in business terms using simple, concise and relatable examples.
An ability to think critically to identify, analyze and resolve problems in a timely manner and persuade stakeholders to accept solutions.
Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
Strong Customer Service skills and focus required.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
Tenacious, driven, energetic and a high degree of professional integrity.
Knowledge of data processes, tools, and applications.
Robust skills in documentation creation, data analysis and mapping, SQL query writing with a high attention to detail including planning and organization.
Strong experience in requirements gathering and documentation with an ability to focus on business priorities and imperatives.
Ability to influence decision-makers through fact-based analysis and persuasive communication.
Advanced skills in MS Excel including use of pivot tables and VB macros.
Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements
Regular, in-person attendance at the Lennar office during regular work hours is an essential function of this job. This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
