We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Mobile QA Tester to join our team. This role focuses on testing mobile applications to ensure their functionality, performance, usability, and reliability. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mobile app testing across iOS and Android platforms, including manual and automated testing, and will collaborate closely with developers and designers to deliver flawless applications.

Your Responsibilities on the Team 

1. Test Planning & Execution:

  • Develop, document, and execute test cases, scripts, and scenarios for mobile applications.
  • Conduct functional, regression, integration, UI/UX, and end-to-end testing for iOS and Android apps.
  • Test application performance under varying network conditions, device capabilities, and user scenarios.

2. Bug Identification & Reporting:

  • Identify, document, and track issues, bugs, and inconsistencies in a detailed and structured manner.
  • Collaborate with developers to reproduce, diagnose, and resolve reported issues.
  • Perform post-release and post-implementation testing to ensure quality.

3. Automation Testing:

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Appium, Selenium, or similar frameworks.
  • Automate repetitive test cases to improve efficiency and reduce manual testing overhead.

4. Performance & Usability Testing:

  • Test application load times, responsiveness, and stability under stress conditions.
  • Evaluate the app’s usability, ensuring a seamless user experience across various devices and screen sizes.

5. Device & Platform Testing:

  • Test applications across a wide range of devices, operating systems, and configurations.
  • Ensure compatibility with the latest OS versions and device models for both iOS and Android.

6. Collaboration & Documentation:

  • Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of test cases, scripts, and results.
  • Provide regular updates on testing progress, issues, and risk assessment to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in QA/testing for mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms.
  • Proven experience in both manual and automated testing methodologies.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with mobile testing tools like Appium, Espresso, XCTest, or similar frameworks.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or Trello.
  • Knowledge of version control systems like Git and GitHub Enterprise.
  • Understanding of mobile development processes, including CI/CD pipelines.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with testing AI-powered mobile applications or features.
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools like Apache JMeter or BlazeMeter.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and processes.

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
