The Senior Tax Associate will work closely with the team members, managers, and tax directors in the preparation of federal and state, corporate and partnership tax returns, quarterly estimated payments, and the tax provision.  Additionally, this position will gain tax research and planning experience working on various tax projects and assist with IRS and state audit defense.     - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting  - CPA (or CPA candidate) preferred.  - One to four years of Federal and state income tax compliance experience obtained in a public accounting or corporate environment.   - Hands on, detail oriented individual, strong tax compliance and problem-solving skills, including account reconciliation and analysis of book/tax differences.  Strong work-ethic and sense of responsibility.    - Self-motivated.  Value-added focus.  Proactive and efficient. Team player that works well with others.   - Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint required), tax research software, and tax compliance software.   JD Edwards and Corptax experience a plus.  - Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.   - Position requires reliable, consistent and punctual attendance.  Lennar is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws. - Assist with the preparation of the federal consolidated tax return  - Prepare federal and state partnership and LLC tax returns  - Prepare and review multistate income and franchise tax returns (combined/unitary as well as separate state income tax returns)  - Assist with the preparation and review of the Company’s consolidated quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations  - Assist with IRS and state tax authority audits   - Assist with the preparation and review of quarterly estimated income tax payments   - Perform tax research and analysis on special projects as needed  - Identify and implement federal and state tax planning opportunities   - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of diverse US federal and state & local tax legislation and US GAAP financial statement reporting requirements for taxes (ASC 740)             #LI-AW1
