The Sr. Manager of Data Quality will oversee our Data Quality portfolio within the data and analytics organization. This role is central to designing, implementing, and operationalizing comprehensive data quality frameworks and platforms, driving the integration of data quality into the fabric of the organization. The position focuses on enhancing the quality of data across both analytical and transactional systems and ensuring that quality metrics are systematically monitored and reported.

The Sr. Manager will lead a team in creating data quality operational reporting, driving the adoption of quality platforms, and leading engagements with leadership to review and enhance quality KPIs. Additionally, this role will introduce Data Quality as a Service (DQaaS), implement full-stack data observability, and lead a team of analysts to embed quality throughout the organization, including providing support and triage for data quality issues. This position requires a strong leader with a proven track record in managing teams and implementing data quality solutions, who can collaborate closely with technology and business teams to ensure data quality is embedded throughout the organization.

Your Responsibilities on the Team 

  • Design, implement, and operationalize Data Quality frameworks across Lennar’s technology and business teams.

  • Lead efforts to embed data quality into the organization’s processes, ensuring that data quality is a key consideration in all stages of data handling.

  • Introduce Data Quality as a Service (DQaaS) to streamline and standardize data quality processes across the enterprise.

  • Lead the development and implementation of full-stack data observability to provide comprehensive visibility into the health and quality of data across all systems.

  • Lead a team of analysts to embed data quality throughout the organization, providing ongoing support and triage for data quality issues.

  • Oversee the creation and operationalization of data quality monitoring tools and platforms.

  • Drive the adoption of data quality platforms across the organization, ensuring widespread and effective usage.

  • Develop and maintain data quality KPIs and lead regular reviews with leadership to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

  • Support both analytical and transactional systems by ensuring that data quality measures are integrated and maintained.

  • Coordinate closely with our Support Organization to outline and implement support models, escalation paths.

  • Lead the Quality Review Committee to ensure continuous improvement and enhancement of the organization's quality health.

  • Collaborate with data owners, stewards, and custodians to resolve data quality issues, ensuring alignment with organizational standards.

  • Research and define adoption paths for advanced data quality detection and prevention methods, including the use of statistics, anomaly detection, machine learning, and AI and across Transactional and analytical systems.

  • Define and execute the product vision for data quality capabilities.

  • Define and evolve the vision and direction for monitoring the quality of assets to support new use cases.

  • Champion the widespread adoption of the quality platform across the organization, ensuring comprehensive integration and utilization to enhance overall data quality and governance.

  • Be a technical, strong, and eloquent advocate for data and AI/ML quality governance through blog posts, webinars, and talks at internal and external conferences.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a related field.

  • 15+ years progressive experience in strategy, data management, governance and/or quality.

  • Minimum of 10 years of managerial or leadership experience in roles directly related to data management, master data services, or data governance within an enterprise setting.

  • Deep understanding of data quality management practices, including data profiling, data stewardship, and data quality lifecycle management.Blend expertise in consulting methodologies with hands-on execution highly preferred.

  • Experience in leading design, feature breakdown and projects/products from inception to shipped software.

  • Experience in cloud computing and architecture.

  • Understanding of technologies used in data governance, management and quality (e.g., Alation, Reltio, Informatica, Ataccama, etc.).

  • Expertise with Agile software development process with a strong emphasis on test driven development.

  • Demonstrated ability to strategically lead and innovate in the realm of comprehensive data governance, translating strategic objectives into actionable plans, and effectively implementing them at a managerial level.

  • Proficiency with SQL and RDMBS.

  • Experience in leading change management initiatives related to data governance, guiding teams through transitions, and fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making within an organization.

  • Demonstrated experience managing a team responsible for building full-stack applications from end to end.

  • Strong communication skills with proven experience handling collaboration across executives and other stakeholder.

  • Strong analytical skills, leading research, analysis, and data insights to inform decisions.

  • Familiar with developer tools, software lifecycle, rapid app development platform, and low code market.

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the Sr. Manager of Data Quality to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
