The Accounting Manager is responsible for review and preparation of entries needed to report revenues and costs, generating reports and managing accounting functions as needed to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Your Responsibilities on the Team
Complete monthly closing responsibilities
Review payroll via PeopleSoft
Assist in financial reporting
Review job cost accounts
Prepare revenue and cost of sales transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures
Analyze trends, costs, revenues, and financial commitments to predict future revenues and expenses
Prepare bank account and general ledger reconciliations
Maintain asset sub ledgers
Review and validate weekly sales, starts, deliveries
Review and analyze gross margins
Manage AP process including vendor set ups and processing of payments
Validate paper checks
Resolves business partner issues
Respond to internal and external audit requests
Special Projects as assigned by Corporate, Division President, Controller or Assistant Controller
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, CPA or MBA in Accounting preferred or combination of equivalent education and experience
Minimum of two years general accounting experience required
Minimum of two years supervisory and industry experience required
Strong computer skills – Microsoft Word and Excel
JD Edwards experience preferred
Excellent attention to detail
Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:
This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the ability to bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry materials and supplies weighing 25 lbs or less. Finger dexterity is necessary.
